Hunters Say They Hunt Mostly “For the Meat”

 

Hunting “for the meat” has increased substantially as the most important reason for hunting over the past decade. The number rose from 22 percent to 39 percent of hunters nationwide. This trend continues to grow, according to research. Research also shows other reasons include: for a trophy, being close to nature, being with family and friends, and for sport or recreation.
