South Carolina Gets New Deer-Limit Law

 

After more than a decade of working for a new law to limit deer harvesting, South Carolina finally passed one. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley signed Senate Bill S.454 into law on June 8. Lawmakers, wildlife professionals, conservation-minded citizens, and ethical hunters, all had a hand in getting the new law passed, which is designed to stop the abuse and exploitation taking place under the state’s current hunting law.
