NRA Form Frees Landowners From Liability

A liability release form approved by NRA’s General Counsel entitled, “Release, Hold Harmless & Indemnification” is now available from NRA’s Web site. The form frees the landowner from any liability claims due to injuries, damages, illnesses, etc., that might arise from a hunter being present on that property. The importance of private land to hunters is well-established, but getting permission to hunt on private property has become more and more difficult in some areas since legal actions against landowners have become more common. The form is designed to alleviate fears a landowner might have about liability resulting from allowing hunters on his property. Both parties need to sign the form.
