Hog Hunting Balloon Bill Floats Through Texas House

Hog hunting balloon bill moves to Texas Senate

The Houston Chronicle reports House Bill 3535 passed unopposed in the Texas House of Representatives on Tuesday. House Bill 3535 would allow for hunters to shoot feral hogs and coyotes from a hot air balloon. The reasoning behind bill is to offer a less expensive alternative to hog hunting from helicopters, said Jason Millsaps, chief of staff for State Rep. Mark Keough, R-The Woodlands. Keough introduced the legislation in March to combat feral hogs, and expanded since to include coyotes.
