18-point Lousiana Buck To Miss Record Books
A massive deer that could end up being one of the top five all-time deer taken with a bow in Louisiana, proved bad news for the man who killed it, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
The 18-point buck, given an unofficial green measurement of 208 7/8, according to LDWF spokesman Adam Einck, was taken Saturday on an unnamed hunting club in Avoylles Parish by 40-year-old Glen Toups Jr. Problem is, Toups was allegedly hunting without his basic season and big game hunting licenses, and did not have his required deer tags.
