By a 64-35 vote, the Senate recently passed the massive Farm Bill (S. 3240), which sets national agricultural, nutrition, conservation and forestry policy. Unfortunately, the bill did not include the Sportsmen’s Act of 2012 as an amendment. According to a story in the Missoulian, the Sportsmen’s Act amendment was among nearly 300 proposed amendments to the Farm Bill, the final version of which contained 70 amendments.—courtesy National Shooting Sports Foundation
