Researchers at Albuquerque’s Sandia National Lab who share a love of hunting and shooting have perfected a dart-like, four-inch bullet that can be guided to hit a laser-designated target at distances exceeding one mile when shot from a .50-caliber, smooth-bore rifle. The Lab is seeking a private company partner to complete testing of the patented prototype and bring a guided bullet to the marketplace.—courtesy Sandia National Laboratories.
