Monkeys expanding territory from nearby state park
Texas hunters have enough problems with local critters invading deer feeders. But at least they don’t have as tough a time as one Ocala, Florida, man. Brian Pritchard has rhesus macaques invading his deer feeder every day. Pritchard hoped to get some deer photos at his feeder setup. Instead he’s got hundreds of rhesus macaque photos. Pritchard told WFTV News the monkeys ate 250 pounds of deer feed in just a few days. “Obviously the monkeys have it down pat,” Pritchard told the station. “They don’t have to wait on it. They climb up the poles and they just sit there and spin it off the plate.” J.M. Garg photo
