Hunters Rescued From Ice Floe in Canada
This is something hunters in the Lone Star State will never have to contend with, no matter how cold it gets. The Royal Canadian Air Force rescued eight hunters off an ice floe that quickly drifted nearly 17 miles south from the small community of Coral Harbor, Nunavut. The men were trapped for two days, but had the right gear and the right frame of mind to handle such a situation. “The fact that these gentleman were prepared to be out in the elements had a real big impact on a positive outcome here,” Steve Neta, public affairs officer with the RCAF, told CBC news.
