Woman brought deer to Alamo for family photos
Texas Parks and Wildlife officials report a most unusual whitetail tale, which unfolded at the shrine of Texas liberty. Alamo security personnel contacted a Bexar County game warden about a woman walking a white-tailed fawn on a leash. When the warden arrived, the warden questioned the woman about picking up the fawn on the side of the road. The woman claimed she came to the Alamo to take Fourth of July family photos. The game warden tried to explain the state law forbidding possession of game animals, but she would not listen and became very upset. The game warden seized the fawn and took it to a licensed Texas Parks and Wildlife rehabilitator. Charges against the woman are pending. TPWD photo
