Border Unrest Keeps Hunters Away
The Arizona Game and Fish Department confirms that unstable border conditions have led to the decline in hunting tag sales for borderland areas, specifically for deer and javelina, reports FoxTucson. Additionally, Southern Arizona businesses say they’ve been hurt by the decline. “We cater to (hunters),” said Vickie Wandfluh of BK Outlaw Barbecue. “(But) when a Black Hawk helicopter lands at your restaurant and doesn’t let anyone out of the building or off the freeway exit, it scares people. It’s bad for business.”
