Avoid Getting A Ticket This Deer Season
No one wants to receive a ticket while they’re hunting. Texas Parks and Wildlife wants you to avoid these common mistakes to help you avoid a citation:
- No Hunter Education. Take a hunter education course and carry with you the card that proves it. If you misplaced your card, go online and print a copy for free.
- No license or wrong license. Double check that you’re bringing the right year.
- Improper Tagging. Write on the tag the ranch and county where you killed the deer, tear out the tag, cut two notches to date it, attach the tag anywhere on the deer, then fill out your log.
