Uptick In Gun Sales Good For Hunters, Wildlife

 

The past year’s record sales of firearms and ammunition is on track to translate into a boon for states in the form of Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration appropriations, under the Pittman-Robertson Act. According to a preliminary report, appropriations could surpass $500 million this year, up from $371 million paid in 2012 for excise taxes paid in 2011.—Courtesy Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
