Teens Use Deer As Bait To Shoot Eagles

Four Washington state teens face state, federal charges

Authorities in Washington state report detaining a group of teens for shooting deer and using them for bait in order to shoot eagles.

A sheriff’s deputy in Klickitat County, Washington, discovered three of the teenagers with a loaded rifle in their vehicle. The deputy had planned to let the teens go with a warning, but he and fish and wildlife police soon discovered five deer carcasses. They also found another teenager as he searched for an eagle he shot.

Criminal charges are pending. The Miami Herald has the full story.
