Hunter Overcomes Freak Accident, Cancer, Makes Film

Eduardo Garcia (Kickstarter photo) In 2011, Eduardo Garcia went bowhunting for elk near Gardiner, Montana, when he discovered a dead bear cub. Curious, Garcia reached out to touch it with his knife, not knowing the cub was killed by a buried 2,400-volt power line hidden underneath its carcass.

The burst of electricity cost Garcia four ribs, his left hand, and large amounts of muscle mass. During his treatment, doctors also discovered Garcia had stage two testicular cancer. Garcia survived, and recently announced he’s raising funds for a documentary on his life through Kickstarter.
