Arlington Capturing, Selling Feral Hogs

Since October, animal control officers in Arlington, Texas, have trapped a total of 34 feral hogs and trucked them to a Fort Worth meat-processing plant, where they’ve been sold for $10 to $100 each, depending on size. Previously, Arlington Animal Services was euthanizing the hogs at a taxpayer cost of $100 to $120 per animal, then burying the carcasses in the landfill.
